The bordeaux primeurs campaign is a key moment each year for fine wine lovers. Yet some vintages leave a lasting mark on history. The bordeaux primeurs 2025 unquestionably belong to this category. Rare, elegant, balanced and already approachable, the wines of bordeaux 2025 embody a new era: one in which Bordeaux successfully combines extreme climatic conditions with absolute finesse.
2015, 2005, 1995… great vintages ending in “5” have often proven exceptional. The bordeaux 2025 vintage appears to confirm this tradition brilliantly. And yet, nothing was guaranteed: intense heat, prolonged drought, water stress… and still, the results exceed expectations.
The bordeaux primeurs 2025 are defined by very low yields, often between 15 and 30 hl/ha. Small, concentrated berries have produced wines of remarkable aromatic intensity.

What is particularly impressive is their ability to remain delicate despite their concentration. They are never heavy, always lifted by freshness and tension. These are wines that are both charming in youth and built for long-term aging.
For many tasters, Margaux 2025 could become a benchmark for decades to come.
On the Right Bank, Saint-Émilion shines particularly on limestone plateaus. The wines display great aromatic purity, fine tension and refined tannins. The style is precise, vibrant and highly appealing.

What is it?
Every year, during April, various Bordeaux properties conduct primeurs tastings of the latest vintage harvested the previous autumn. These wines, still in the process of aging, are presented to specialized press and professionals. Thus, each year, we spend a week tasting all the Bordeaux wines that will be sold as primeurs.
Then, between May and July, the various Bordeaux Châteaux release their selling prices for these recently tasted wines. It's up to us, professionals, to decide whether to take a position on one wine or another, based on our tasting results and, of course, the proposed price. Once we've made our selection, we offer these wines at the best price to our clientele on pre-order. The list of Bordeaux primeurs available for pre-order is typically published around late June, early July.
The Bordeaux primeurs wines pre-ordered are payable within 30 days and will be delivered, free home delivery for orders of 18 bottles or more, in spring two years after bottling by the various Châteaux.
The advantages of primeur sales are manifold, both for the Château and the client. The Château can thus obtain cash flow when it needs it most. The client ensures obtaining wines that may not be available later. Similarly, when purchasing Bordeaux primeurs wines, the client can order bottle formats (half bottles, magnums) that may not be available after bottling. Of course, in the event of a price increase, it's the informed client who will benefit...
