It was at the tender age of 19 that Vincent Girardin, from the village of Santenay in Burgundy, decided to set up his own business to create his own wines on two hectares of family vineyards. Although he comes from a family of winegrowers since the 17th century, Vincent Girardin wants to give a contemporary touch to his wines.
Thanks to his talents as a winegrower and winemaker, Vincent Girardin's wines quickly acquired a worldwide reputation, allowing him to gradually expand, concentrating mainly on the great terroirs of the Côte de Beaune, both in red and white.
In the early 2000s, the oenologist Eric Germain joined Girardin's small structure. A grape purchasing activity was added to the vinification of the estate's grapes. A recognised style, based on the purity of the fruit and minerality, allows the Burgundian terroir to be sublimated.
In 2012, the Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois, a historical partner, will take over Vincent Girardin's activity, keeping the entire current structure. The objective is clear: to perpetuate the heritage of the house, continuing to maintain the highest quality standards, while respecting nature and the ecosystem.
