For the record, the first name found for this wine was Napamédoc. It was only later that the name Opus One was adopted by Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi, whose silhouettes still adorn the label. Opus One wines are powerful and hedonistic. Over the years, they have become one of the most sought-after wines in Napa Valley.
