Nicolas Rossignol, born in 1974, represents the 5th generation of winemakers on the Volnay terroirs. He has been vinifying since 1994 at Domaine ROSSIGNOL-JEANNIARD, then created his own estate thus perpetuating the family tradition, while bringing a new approach to the terroirs of the estate.

After a complete technical training acquired at the viticultural high school in Beaune, Nicolas put his knowledge into practice during various internships, at the Domaine Joseph Voillot in Volnay, at the Domaine Louis Latour in Ardèche as well as at the Domaine du vieux Télégraphe in Châteauneuf du Pape.

The "Domaine Nicolas Rossignol" wines are made from a rigorous selection of grapes from vines grown according to traditional viticulture techniques inspired by biodynamics. The vineyard is managed using sustainable viticulture and also takes into account the influence of the moon both for the work of the vine and for the elaboration and maturation of the wines. No chemical weedkillers are used: only ploughing is used to maintain the soil.
