Situated in one of the historic villages of the Ribera del Duero, the homeland of the iconic Vega Sicilia, Hacienda Solano is the result of artisanal work, where intensive agriculture has fortunately not damaged an exceptional terroir.
All the wines are made from old vines of the local grape variety, Tinto Fino Castellano, some of which are more than a hundred years old. The wines of Hacienda Solano express the nuances of its unique terroir, composed of poor limestone soils mixed with the unique climate of Castile.
Vineyard: old vines aged 30 years on average located on the terroir of La Aguilera. Hand-picked by hand. Ageing: 8 months in French oak barrels

2018, VIÑAS VIEJAS, Hacienda Solano, Ribera del Duero. Krläftiges Rubin. Die Nase ist komplex, zeigt noten von schwarzen Kirschen, Brombeeren, dazu geröstete Haselnuss, etwas Leder, das Holz ist präsent, aber nicht aufdringlich. Fülliger, fruchtbetonter Auftakt, markante Tanninstruktur, die Gerbstoffe sind von sehr guter Qualität und bereits gut integriert, das Holz ist auch hier gut verpackt, überlagert die Frucht nicht, sondern zähmt diese vorbildlich, der Wein wird am mittleren Gaumen immer filigraner und frischer, endet im Abgang lang und fruchtig-würzig. Fruchtbetonte Nase, erstaunlich kühl anmutend, zeigt etwas Würze, eine eher rotbeerige Frucht, die sich im Gaumen fortsetzt, die Tannine markieren, verleihen Struktur. Gute Länge. Grillwein Plus ist das. Bis 2030 geniessen.

2019, SELECCIÓN, Hacienda Solano, Ribera del Duero. Dichtes Rubin. In der Nase Aromen die an Mandeln (Amaretto) und Kirschen erinnern, auch etwas krautige Noten. Im Gaumen noch jugendlich, etwas wild, sehr fruchtbetont, mit markanten, leicht trocknenden Tanninen und einer angenehmen Säurestruktur, aromatisch mit Kirsch-Traubenzucker etwas schwarzer Schokolade. Ein Ribera del Duero-Wein, der nicht klebrig ist, sondern unkomplizierten, frischen Trinkfluss bietet. Jetzt bis 2025 auf der Frucht geniessen. 88/100 vvPunkteRating
