"This traditional estate is in the hands of a young and very talented winemaker, Olivier Lamy, Hubert's son, whose sense of style for white wines deserves all praise. Their finesse, charm and freshness should be meditated upon by many more famous producers." Le Guide Bettane et Desseauve des Vins de France - Selection 2014
The St-Aubin appellation is often described as the Montrachet of the poor, as it is ideally situated opposite the commune of Puligny-Montrachet. The wines of St-Aubin offer minerality and complexity at very competitive prices in relation to the quality of their terroir.
Olivier Lamy, owner of Domaine Hubert Lamy, is a conscientious and demanding young winemaker, seeking to obtain controlled yields, a guarantee of quality. His wines are aged for 18 months in 600-litre oak barrels and demi-muids. He seeks precision both in the vineyard and in his maturing, in order to obtain chiselled and mineral St-Aubin wines. Undoubtedly an "insider tipp" to be discovered...
