Going up the Rhône, along the Valley, the appellation Yvorne offers an idyllic landscape and a wine, the " Chant des Resses ", a child of the country. Right in the middle of the Chablais vaudois, created in 1902, the cooperative association AVY, Artisans-Vignerons d'Yvorne brings together 55 hectares of vines meeting the criteria of the Yvorne AOC Chablais, which means a lot of rigour in the grape selections.
The Chant des Resses is also subject to high standards in the selection of its vines. The sloping rocky soil is ideal for drainage and brings the mineral aromas so representative of the Chant des Resses.
Its yellow colour has golden reflections. On the nose, the discreet notes of flowers and fruit show a certain elegance. At first, the attack is powerful, but then gives way in the mouth to a beautiful roundness and a lot of balance. The fruit appears in a long and harmonious finish.
A must for aperitifs, it is perfect served with fish, shellfish, asparagus or aged Gruyère cheese, demonstrating its richness and minerality.

Dieser exzellente Yvorne wurde im November von der Waadtländer Qualitätsver-einigung Terravin zum besten Weisswein des Jahrgangs 2023 erkoren. Dass ich als Sommelier Teil des Expertengremiums war, freute mich besonders. Der Wein zeigt die typischen Chasselasnoten, der milde BSA lässt die belebende Säurestruktur noch durchblicken. Prächtig.
